Six Years of Growth and Excellence for Ambition Accountancy

Jersey-born and based Ambition Accountancy is celebrating six years of accounting excellence, as the company continues to build and evolve for the future.

Founded in April 2019 by Jim McCartan, Ambition Accountancy was set up to support enterprising small and medium sized businesses and individuals across the island with trusted accounting expertise.

In its six years, Ambition has helped hundreds of clients to maximise their financial potential, providing a personalised service, bespoke financial strategies, and specialised knowledge in niche markets.

As a measure of Ambition’s success, the company has grown steadily, most recently adding the skills of Director Mark LeCornu and Accountant Jodie Lynam. The new hires, who together contribute more than 50 years of accounting experience, joined the team in January 2025 as Ambition strengthened its reach and offering. Today, Ambition provides a comprehensive suite of services, including accounts preparation, payroll, tax and GST returns, outsourced finance director support, and more.

Ambition marked its six-year anniversary with a team meal, and participation in the FNHC Colour Festival 2025, helping raise funds to support paediatric palliative care across the island.
